Olive Oil to Treat Acne Scars

Acne and pimples are uninvited guests, they appear any time and sometimes they just come when you have important meeting or functions or a date and spoil the mood and skin. We won’t like to open our eyes to pimples early in a morning. And if you are heading to your first date then you just want to kill it using nails or break it hardly which leaves marks behind and make your skin looks worst.


Acne is very common problem for oily skin people. Acne marking is a common skin problem, and is produced by earlier acne pimples, papules or lumps that have cured. Acne marking may be dark brown, pink or red, and can take a long period to disappear form the skin. But today I have good news for those with acne scars. Yes, luckily by smearing olive oil to the skin in a few different ways, acne scars or marks can disappear more rapidly.

Below are the few steps using olive oil by following you can get rid of acne scars effectively:-

Step 1: Cleansing and Massaging:

This is one of the simple ways to treat acne scars caused by acne. Use olive oil to moderate dead scar tissue by applying olive oil into the skin. Gently massage about 1 tbsp. of olive oil onto the skin, using deep force and massaging in a circular movements using fingers. As olive oil will not block the skin pores, you can massage it into your skin without worrying about acne or pimples. Later 4-5 mins of massage let the oil to get set on the skin for an extra 4-5 mins.

Step 2: Steaming Process:

Once massaging is finished you need to take steam. Fill a vessel with very hot and steaming water. Take your face about 18 inches over the bowl and cover the head with a towel, which will cause the steam to enclose the face from all sides and your skin gets full steam. Do not lean more closely because very near to steam could injury the skin. Steam your face for at least 5 mins, and not longer than 10 mins. Wipe off the produced sweat using towel. Using olive oil on the skin and steaming will make the scar tissue to become free, permitting it to be removed more certainly from the skin.

Step 3: Exfoliation Procedure:

Once acne scars tissues becomes soft and loose, next step is to exfoliating the skin with olive oil scrub. Mix about 1 tsp. of olive oil and 1 tsp. of baking soda. Once combined properly, apply the mixture on your skin. Then start scrubbing gently using tips of your fingers in circular motions. Scrub for 2-3 mins, concentrating on the areas that comprise the most acne scars on the skin. Just wait for few mins and then smear a warm, wet washcloth over the skin to eradicate the baking soda and olive oil mixture. The acne scar tissues that were softened will become extricated by the olive oil and baking soda scrub, successfully removing it.

Step 4: Acne Scar Free Skin:

Once you follow the above steps and remove the acne scars, the skin beneath becomes a little visible. You need to safeguards this skin and also avoid the future acne outbreak. The best way to keep your skin clear and free from impurity, is by mixing olive oil with tea tree oil. Just take small bowl and mix about 5-6 drops of olive oil and 3-4 drops of tea tree oil. Mix it and dip a cotton ball or swab into the mixed oil and then apply it on the areas of acne marking, areas of irritation and breakouts. Tea tree oil contains antimicrobial oil, and will help to protect the skin beneath the scar tissue, which will convert visible later using the scrub. Tea tree oil will also help to avoid new acne formation on skin and reduce future acne marks from rising.
