Bananas are yummy and we have never eaten one that not sweet, and that’s because it consists mainly of sugars (glucose, fructose and sucrose). Bananas also contain a good amount of fiber, which makes them a great energy booster. The banana is notorious for its good press. People who exercise like it, people who bake like it, people who love natural foods like it, and these days people who want healthy hair and skin are really into it.


What is so attractive about the banana? It contains potassium, iron, B Vitamins including B6 and B12 and it is good for a whole host of issues, including anemia, constipation and diarrhea, maintaining healthy bones and teeth, regulating blood pressure, kidney health, and improved nerve function, and stress relief.

Even the peel of the banana is worthy of mentioning because it contains a number of antioxidants and can be used as home remedy to cure allergies, bruises, mosquito bites, skin irritation, warts, treating acne, and wrinkles. To use the peel in these situations, just apply a section of the banana peel to the affected areas and leave it on for half an hour every day until there is noticeable change.

Banana rules for dry, itchy, flaky hair. It keeps hair hydrated and healthy. With regular use, a banana hair mask can increase the moisture content of your hair, smooth frizz, and soothe your itchy scalp.

Banana for face:-

  • Take 1 ripe bananas (over ripe is best), 1 tsp of vitamin e oil and then add 1 tbsp of yogurt (curds). Blend all the ingredients make smooth paste, then apply on face & relax for half an hour. Wash your face using lukewarm water.


  • Take 1 ripe banana smash it or blend it make a smooth paste, add 3 to 4 drops of lemon juice and then add 2 tsp of milk. Mix altogether properly until it becomes smooth paste then apply on your face leave for 15 min then wash your face using normal water. (Best suited for dry skin).


There are many different variations to this recipe and they all work nicely. Please note, to avoid little chunks of banana hovering all over your hair strands, you need to puree the banana in a food processor properly. Do not apply it if you see any chunks or strings at all.

Banana for hair:-

  • Take 3 ripe bananas, 3 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp of yogurt (curds) and 1 tbsp of milk (optional). Blend all these ingredients in a food processor or blender, if you need to add liquid, add a tbsp of milk. Rinse hairs with warm water before applying the mixture and lightly pat it to remove excess water. Apply this mixture on your scalp & hairs massage gently and leave for half an hour cover your hairs with shower cap. Wash your hairs using shampoo.


  • Take 3 ripe bananas and add 3 tbsp of olive oil, milk (optional if you more liquid need). Smash the banana then add oil in it mix well then apply on your scalp and hairs leave for 20 min then wash your hairs using shampoo.
