I have already shared the oats mask for hairs and face, but today I will share How to Do Oats Facial at Home? Oatmeal is not just for eating. It is also a great moisturizer for the skin. Now a day Oats is available in everybody’s home and it is cheap, it is organic! And it is super easy to make. You may think of oatmeal as on the bland side of the food aisle, as something that your doctor told you to eat but that you’re not thrilled about. But even if you already love oatmeal, you might not know that you can use it to save money and get crafty, as well as get healthier. Don’t throw out any excess!

The healthiest type of oatmeal is made from whole-grain, steel-cut oats, also known as coarse-cut or Irish oats, because they retain more of the nutritious (though tough) bran layer. The more common “rolled oats” are steamed, flattened and lightly toasted. “Instant” oatmeal is pre-cooked and usually has sweeteners and flavors added. Nutritionists say you’re better off buying unsweetened, and adding a touch of honey, maple syrup, agave or other flavoring you.

So ready to start your own Oats Facial at home:-


Step 1:- Oats Cleanser


All you need is 1 cup plain oats, Grinder and a glass jar with air tight led. First, you need to ground up the oatmeal. You can do this by using a coffee grinder or a food processor. Place oatmeal in your jar and store it. When you are ready to use your face cleanser, place a small amount of the oatmeal in the palm of your hand. Using your other hand, and add a small amount of water to the oatmeal to make a smooth paste like cleansers. Mix the two together and then you can start to clean your face. Gently massage this cleanser on face for 5 min then wipe using wet cotton roll. Now cleansing is done, now we will move to Step 2.


Step 2:- Oats Scrub


You need Baking Soda and plain Oatmeal, Some people use just a baking soda as a gentle exfoliator for the face, but it’s better to combine it with the oatmeal. Mix oat meal and baking soda in equal proportions. Add some warm water and leave the ingredients to set for 5 minutes in the bowl till it becomes a soft paste. Gently massage the scrub into your face in circular motions for 8 min avoiding the eye area. Rinse the face with warm then cold water or you can use wet cotton cloth to wipe the scrub. Let’s go to Step 3.


Step 3:- Oats as Facial Cream


Just take powdered plain oats, raw milk, few drops of lemon juice and olive oil. Now take powdered oatmeal in a blow, add milk, lemon juice and olive oil, make a smooth paste and start massaging this cream on your skin massage gently into your skin. Massage for 10 – 12 min then leave for 2 min then wipe it using wet cotton roll. Now steaming time.


Step 4:- Steaming Time


You need steel vessel and fill ¾ Th water in that vessel. Close the led and boil it. Once it boils fully then take it out then cover your face with napkin then start taking steam. Take steam for 3-4 min then wipe it using wet cotton cloth. Now let’s go to last step.


Step 5:- Oats Face Mask


For oats face mask you need ½ cup of warm water, 1/3 cup of oatmeal, 2 tbsp. of honey, 2 tbsp. of plain curds and 1 egg white (you can add mashed banana also optional). Now mix oatmeal and water. Once the water and oatmeal have settled for two or three minutes, now add plain curds, honey, and egg white. Apply a thin layer of the mixture to your face, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then wash it using warm water. (Be sure you use a metal or plastic strainer in your sink to avoid clogging the drain with the granules.)


Note: –


  • You can use this facial monthly twice.
  • Use plain oatmeal for facial.
  • Store and use powdered oatmeal for 3 times only don’t keep it for long time.
